MS Readathon: A big thank you to all the 2nd classes who donated €2 each in aid of MS Ireland.
Our Christmas Carol service takes place in St. Patrick’s Church Esker at 11.05am next Wednesday 11th December. All parents are welcome.
Nativity Plays/Christmas Concerts: Your child’s class teacher will let you know when/if your child’s class are putting on a show! If you have any old costumes your children have outgrown which might be of use for nativity plays/Christmas concerts please drop in to your child’s teacher or the school office.
Special Visitor: The school will have it’s own special visitor coming to meet all pupils on Friday 13th of December. (Thanks to our Parents’ Association)
St. Thomas’ Parents’ Association: Our annual family subscription is now due. Please return slip and fee (€10 per family) to Maureen by tomorrow Friday 6th December. The funds collected are used to support the activities of the parents’ association throughout the year including a gift for every child at Christmas, educational equipment as required for all classes, guest speakers on topics of interest to parents, and family activities throughout the year.
For those parents who were unable to attend last night’s parents’ meeting there is an opportunity to meet over a coffee in Kay’s Kitchen tomorrow morning (Friday 6th) after drop off.
Punctuality in the mornings we would like to remind all parents and guardians that pupils should be in their lines at 5 minutes to 9 each morning so that they can walk in with their class. A small number of children are arriving late to school regularly.
Lucan Library : (lucan@sdublincoco.ie) This fantastic resource on our doorsteps has a host of activities over the Christmas period including a Craft fair and magic show on Saturday7th December and much more.. Contact the library at above email for their full range of activities over the coming weeks.
Formal Registration of Junior Infants for September 2020 will take place in the school on Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th, and Wednesday 29thJanuary 2020 from 10.00am to 12.o’clock.
A copy of your child’s birth certificates along with the child’sP.P.S. No. and a house utility bill will be required on the day of enrolment. Enrolment to the school is subject to the school’s enrolment policy, which has recently been updated, and is available to read on the school website.
Christmas Closing Times: Christmas Holidays begin on Friday 20thDecember.
Junior & Senior Infants to be collected at 11.50am. 1st & 2nd classes at 12.o’clock.
School reopens on Monday 6th January.
