School Sports Day: As the good weather continues, this will now take place tomorrow Friday 8thJune, (weather permitting) If you are available to help on this day please give your name to the class teacher or the office. Call directly to the staffroom on Friday morning where you will be designated an activity to assist with. Parents are welcome to come and watch their child sample 7 sports activities on the day. Please ensure your child wears their tracksuit and runners tomorrow Friday 8th June. On the day classes will move from one activity to another around the school building.

Scoil Aine Naofa: Information night for new parents of pupils starting in 3rd class in September 2018 will take place on Wednesday 13th June at 7.30pm

Junior Infant Familiarisation : This takes place next week (Monday 11th to Thursday 14th) @ 2pm each day. (Junior Hall )

Thursday 14th – R.4 – Ms. Madigan, R.5- Ms. Christian.

Camp Esker 2018: Our Annual Summer camp will be returning with lots of fun activities this summer from the 9th to the 13th of July. Registration will take place on Sat. 9th June from 11am to 12.00pm. Registration forms will go home today. If you are unable to attend on Saturday please drop the completed form/fee to school office by Friday 16th June. Priority is given to pupils from St. Thomas’ and the camp is run by fully vetted school staff. Limited number of places.

School Reports: Please ensure we have the correct address for all pupils as school reports, and book bills will be posted home on Friday 15th June.

Sponsored Walk: This takes place on Sunday 17th June. Meeting at Griffeen Park Leisure Centre @2pm and walking back to the school for tea/coffee and refreshments for the children afterwards. Sponsor Cards going home next Monday. Proceeds of this year’s walk will go towards school resources and classroom equipment.

Children are asked not to go door to door just ask for sponsorship within their own family members.

Child Protection/Safeguarding :Under new legislation all staff members working in schools will have to undergo compulsory training and certification (Term 2 and Term 3 ) over two half days. The second of these will take place on Friday 15th June. School will close @12pm on that day with Infant classes off @11.50am.
