Dear Parents/ Guardians,

WOW Day Shamrock Parade We had lots of fun on our St. Patrick’s Day walking to school Parade as well as a parade around the school during the day. Thank you to Ms. O’Reilly and Ms. Power for being St. Patricia for our parades.

Congratulations Tomorrow we say congratulations and goodbye to a talented and treasured member of staff- Ms. Marie Linehan. It is with great pleasure that I announce that Marie has secured the post of Deputy Principalship of St. Kevin’s girls school in Kilnamanagh. This is a well-deserved promotion, and we know that Marie will bring the same passion, dedication, and innovative spirit to the role of Deputy Principal as she has demonstrated in the classroom.

Marie has been an integral part of our school community, contributing significantly to the academic and personal growth of our pupils. Marie will take up her new position after Easter 2024. We encourage you to join us in congratulating Marie Linehan on this remarkable achievement. As we bid farewell to Marie in her current role, we express our sincere gratitude to her for her outstanding contributions to our school. Congratulations and best wishes for the future.

Spare Trousers We are asking all parents in all classes to kindly put a spare pair of trousers in your child's school bag in case of an accident during school. This ensures that your child will be comfortable if an accident occurs.

Eircode We are updating our database and ask you to update your address to include your Eircode please. This is an important piece of information that the DES require us to have. Please update your Eircode at the bottom of the address bar yourself over the next two weeks using the Aladdin app.

Hot School Meals

Each pupil in the school will receive a free hot meal each day following the Easter break. As a result, ‘The Lunch Bag’ service will be ceasing from Monday April 8th. Carambola (https://www.carambola.ie/) is the company who administrate the hot meals programme in our school. We will send home your password in your child’s school bag today. It contains your child’s User ID, a temporary Password, and instructions on how to log in to order your child’s lunch. Carambola recommend that all parents log in this week to take a look at the login process and to choose their private password – the login sheets contain a temporary password for GDPR reasons, and this temporary password is valid until 2nd April. Should any parent have an issue with their login details, there is a contact number on the sheet to our Customer Care line, as well as an email address for parent support. Please check your child’s school bag for this document today.

Carambola are working on some delicious new items coming to their menu over the Easter break. Carambola will notify parents of changes that are made to the menu by Tuesday 2nd April. Parents have until Midnight on Friday 5th April to make any changes to their menu for the first delivery day, Monday 8th April.

You have to select your child’s hot lunches on a weekly basis. All choices need to be edited before Friday 12 midnight for the following week.

Should you have any questions about the programme, please contact Carambola on 061 500200 or email info@carambola.ie .
