Dear Parents/Guardians.
We are having an ongoing issue with parents/guardians using the parish and school carpark for parking, as a set down area and as an area for making u turns. This is highly dangerous and poses a health and safety risk to all pedestrians, especially to our pupils. It also means that staff cannot park.
For homework this evening, parents and pupils of St. Thomas’ and Scoil Aine are asked to have a discussion together about the car park regulations (below) with particular focus on the health and safety of our pupils. The children will then complete the colouring competition and return it to their class teacher by Thursday 21st November.
Please note the following car park procedures apply between the hours of 8:30-9:15 and 1:30-3:00.
- No set down or u-turns in the carpark or near the entrance gate
- No parking in the carpark without a permit
- Clamping is in operation by APCOA and those who do not follow the above procedures risk clamping with a release fee of €125
- Car registration number of those who do not adhere to procedures may be taken
Exceptions: Please be aware that a limited number of parents/guardians/creches/church parishioners hold approved parking permits or bus passes. Our permits for 2020 are currently being renewed. If you wish to apply for a new permit for 2020 please contact the school office and you will be given an application form. Out of date permits may result in clamping. Permits will be granted in accordance with our carpark procedures which are available to view at the office or on the school website.
