Second Class - Work for School Closure

26-March-20

Dear parents/guardians,

We hope you and your families are keeping well during this unprecedented time. As our school will be closed for the next number of weeks, we as a team have prepared a weekly plan to facilitate and support the learning of our students at home. We do not expect parents/guardians to teach the curriculum content as we would in the classroom and we also understand that every family’s circumstances are different. We have compiled a weekly plan that will be issued via email on a weekly basis. Each day there will be English, Maths and Irish learning activities for the children to complete as well as another activity from our remaining subject areas. Any internet links or documents needed to complete assigned activities will be attached to our email.

We understand that this will take some time to get used to and we will be available to support both parents, guardians and students via email over the next number of weeks. We hope that this will provide some structure and enjoyment to your child’s day during this challenging time. Should you have any questions in relation to our assigned work please do not hesitate to email me.

Going forward, we will email the weekly plan to you. In order to facilitate this can you please email your child’s teacher, see contact details below.

Kind regards,

Ms. Maguire, Ms Brazil, Ms. O’Loughlin, Ms. Lawlor, Mr. Burke
