Dear Parents/ Guardians,

I hope you are all keeping well and that you had a lovely Easter Break. As we commence the final term of the current academic year, I want to thank you all for your continued co-operation with our Covid -19 protocols.

Thank you

Our Non-Uniform Day on Friday 26th March raised €1,263 for Finding Charlie’s Voice. Finding Charlie’s Voice is a local initiative which aims to raise awareness in particular for Verbal Dyspraxia, but also for all speech and language communication needs. Finding Charlie’s Voice are kindly donating assistive communication boards to our school, which will help support our pupils’ communication through use of pictures and symbols. Many thanks to you all for supporting this worthy local cause.

Wellbeing

As part of our School Self Evaluation process we are looking at improving wellbeing in our school. Your child's teacher has sent you two survey links - one for you to complete and another for your child to complete. These will help us to improve our school environment and make it a more welcoming place for everyone. Please fill these in before Friday April 23rd. We are still collecting plastic bottle tops/lids/tins so if you have those at home and you have no need for them, your child can continue to bring these in. We would also appreciate your help in collecting some of the following items for some upcoming school projects. Many thanks to those of you who have brought in items already. If you have any of these items and are not using them, please put them aside and send them in to your child’s teacher:

  • plastic bottle tops, milk tops, drink container lids.
  • metal pots and lids (no frying pans)
  • metal colanders
  • metal dish drying racks
  • metal baking tins
  • plant pots
  • paint for wood or metal

Many thanks for your continued support.

Mid Term Break

Our Mid Term Break is from Monday 3rd May to Friday 7th May inclusive as per our school calendar issued at the beginning of the year.

Punctuality

Please be mindful of pupils arriving to school on time. Some pupils are arriving late to school and this is affecting their learning opportunities and disrupting a class already at work. ‘’Be in the line for 5 to 9’’ / ‘’Be in the line for 5 past 9’’.

Moving School

If any pupils are moving from our school to another school, please inform our secretary Maureen as soon as possible as we have quite a few children on our waiting lists and wish to allocate places efficiently.
