Coicís na Gaeilge:

Dia dhaoibh! As usual we have had a number of activities taking place in the school during (2nd-13th, March). Two classes are visiting our neighbouring Gaelscoil. (Eiscir Riada) today Thursday 12th March. Over the last two weeks we have been focusing on promoting the use of spoken Irish, and on Irish music and culture, and we encourage you to use “cúpla focail” (a few Irish words) at home as well. We will have lots of prizes for children ‘caught’ speaking Irish during the week.

Irish Dancing: Currently all our classes are receiving lessons in Irish dancing from Rita Doyle.

This finishes tomorrow the 13th March.

Shamrock Parade WOW Morning: As Coicís na Gaeilge draws to a close our final event is our WOW Morning tomorrow Friday 13th March. Our WOW Theme this year stands for Wear Our World where our pupils are invited to wear the colours of all our nationalities in our school! We will have music on the yard to greet all our walkers!

So bring all your colours and walk a mile with a smile. St. Patrick is looking forward to meeting you at the Park & Stride (Lord Lucan car park) we will be leaving at 8.25am.

This year our walk is in support of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Leamhcáin. This local group do excellent work promoting Irish music in our community and have given their time free of charge to perform for us over the last few years. Please bring in €3 per pupil to support this local organisation.

South Dublin County Council is recruiting relief school wardens to cover the Lucan/Clondalkin area.
