Dear Parents/Guardians,
School Closure: School will close at 12pm tomorrow Friday 14th February for staff in-service (Primary Language Curriculum) Junior & Senior Infants to be collected at 11.50am . 1st & 2nd at 12pm. Mid-Term break takes place from Monday 17th to Friday 21st February inclusive.
Lost Property: Please check the box outside the office for lost property. There are a number of coats, scarves, hats, gloves and tracksuit tops and other items for collection. If not claimed these will be sent to the charity shop during Mid-Term break.
Coicís na Gaeilge: We will be encouraging the use of spoken Irish among our pupils and staff for the three weeks leading up to St. Patrick’s Day. Please encourage your child to use ‘cúpla focail ss bhaile’ over the same period.
Science Day: We had Science day for all our first Classes in the hall yesterday, where they donned their white coats and goggles and carried out some simple experiments in the Senior Hall. Thank you to one of our parents, Erica Hendricks for helping to co-ordinate the day along with the assistance of a number of our parents from the Parents’ Association. Thanks also to our PA for the purchase of magnet kits for Science which will be used throughout the school.
St. Thomas’ / Scoil Aine Table Quiz: This will take place in the Lord Lucan on Friday 27th of March. More details after the mid-term.
School Building Project: Hamilton Young Architects have been appointed to oversee our school building project and we hope to see real progress in the coming months.
Our School Closures 2020-2021: Our school closures for the next school year are now available on our website.
