Dear Parents/Guardians
Formal Registration of Junior Infants for September 2020 will take place in the school senior hall next Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th, and Wednesday 29th January 2020 from 10.00am to 12.o’clock.
A copy of your child’s birth certificates along with the child’s P.P.S. No. and a house utility bill will be required on the day of enrolment. Enrolment to the school is subject to the school’s enrolment policy, which has recently been updated, and is available to read on the school website.
H.S.E.: Vision testing for Junior Infants Thursday 30th January. Vaccinations (4 in 1 and MMR) for Junior Infants will take place on Monday 3rd & Tuesday 4th February.
Food Dudes: This programme starts in all classes today and over the next 16 school days pupils will get a chance to taste 4 different fruits and veg. Long term we hope to raise awareness of the need for both in a healthy lunchbox. Hopefully the pupils will find it a positive experience and will want more of the same!
Parent / Teacher Meetings: This year we are providing the facility to book your appointment time online. Information sheet went home this week with log-in details. The booking has been staggered to allow those with multiple meetings (siblings). If you have been unable to book your meeting please contact the school office by email.
Our meetings will take place after school on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th February
(with the exception of Ms. Olwill’s class).
Junior and Senior Infants go home at normal time.
1st & 2nd classes to be collected at 2.20pm on both of those two days.
General Election: Over the next three weeks please ensure our candidates are fully aware of the urgency required to bring our school building project to fruition, after a long and frustrating wait.
We hope to have our new architects appointed by the beginning of February.
First Confession takes place on the 25th March at 7pm in St. Patrick’s Church Esker.
First Communion will take place on Saturday 23rd May.
School Closure: School will close at 12pm on Friday 14th February for staff in-service training. Mid-Term break takes place from Monday 17th to Friday 21st February inclusive
