Spooky WOW (Walk Once a Week) takes place next Thursday October 25th . It’s that time of year again!. Organise your own Park “n” Stride from your local estate. Two organised Park “n” Stride groups will leave the Lord Lucan/ Finnstown SC carpark @ 8.25am. A second group will be leaving Hayden’s Lane Carpark (Griffeen Valley Park) @ 8.30
It is also Dress up day for Halloween so our walkers should get lots of attention in their costumes! See poster below.
St. Thomas’ Parents Association Annual Subscription of €10 per family is now due.
These subscriptions, along with funds raised during the year from other fund-raising activities are used to support projects in the school, information talks for parents and to assist in the financing of school equipment and resources, to support the education of your children. Your continued support is very much needed and appreciated. Subscription notes and envelopes went home on Tuesday, 16th October. Please return money in envelope provided by tomorrow Friday 19th October.
Hearing Testing: The H.S.E. conducted Hearing Testing in the school for our Junior Infants on Tuesday and Wednesday, and will return next Tuesday 23rd to complete the last class.
Vision Testing: This will take place later in the year for our Junior Infants.
Health & Safety: In the interest of safety stand at the back of the yellow line at drop off and pick-up, to allow children walk in/out safely on their own, with teacher.
School Car Park: If you note any car parking without a displayed permit in the school carpark please give their car reg. directly to the school office or for a more immediate response, give to APCOA (016506900).
School Closures: School will be closed on Friday 26th October due to the Presidential Election / Blasphemy Referendum, as our school campus is used as a voting station.
NCSE Demonstration Project: (SLT/OT) We have applied for and received inclusion in this new project. Please read attached note for parents.
Our Mid-Term Break takes place from Monday 29th October to Friday 2nd Novemberinclusive. School reopens on Monday 5th November.
