Spooky WOW (Walk Once a Week) Friday October 25th
Our school supports actions for climate change and reducing “Dirty Black Smoke” from cars. Families from Hillcrest side and Grange Manor/Johnsbridge area – Why not organise a meet up point and Walk a Spooky mile with a Spooky smile! Lord Lucan Park & Stride meet @ 8.15 for 8.25 departure at the latest. There will be a Spooky Disco on the Yard! Children can walk to school in their spooky dress up costumes on the day.
We are asking each family to kindly donate €3 per child /€5 per family or any additional amount you wish to donate in support of Freya McLaughlin who is a pupil in second class. Her parents Don and Tracey are hugely grateful that the Spooky WOW is being held to support Freya.
Pumpkin Decorating Competition: 2nd classes are invited to take part in an optional pumpkin decoration competition. Adult supervision necessary. If your child wishes to partake, please send in the decorated pumpkin by Tuesday 22nd October to the class teacher.
Junior Infants Photos: Proofs of Junior Infants photos went home last week. If you wish to purchase your child’s photo please return proof and money in the envelope provided by tomorrow Friday 18th October. Thank you.
First Holy Communion Enrolment ceremony is on this Sunday 20th October at 10.30am Mass. Children must be accompanied by their parents /guardians.
Baptism for older children: This takes place on Sunday 1st December 2019 if you wish to have your older child baptised please contact the parish centre. (Ph.6281018) or call into the parish centre office.
Hearing Testing: The H.S.E. will conduct Hearing Testing in the school for our Junior Infants next Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd & Thursday 24th October
Coats: Please ensure your child has a suitable coat with them on a daily basis going forward as we approach the winter months. (Please put their name on the label)
Mid-Term Break takes place from Monday 28th October to Friday 1st November inclusive. School reopens on Monday 4th November.
