Date for your dairy:Spooky WOW (Walk Once a Week) FridayOctober 25th Children can walk to school in their spooky dress up costumes on the day. More details next week.

We are asking each family to kindly donate €3 per child /€5 per family or any additional amount you wish to donate in support of Freya McLaughlin who is a pupil in second class.

Her parents Don and Tracey are hugely grateful that the Spooky WOW is being held to support Freya this year and have penned a message of gratitude below.

“April 5th 2019 marked 5 years since Freya was diagnosed with mixed profile ganglioneuroma neuroblastoma. Unsuccessful debulking of the tumour left Freya paralysed from the waist down. Over the past 3 years Freya has worked hard to recover some of her nerve function and can now stand aided. In June of this year she started a neuro movement therapy based on the Feldenkrais method and has seen great improvements in her standing aided walking and general ability to be able to get around by herself. This Therapy is not recognised as yet by the HSE & CRC which means her family must raise the money by themselves to work with practitioners from Germany to achieve a more effective outcome. Freya’s goal is to be able to walk up the aisle herself for her communion next year…. Go Freya!” Thank you.
