Dear Parents/Guardians
SNA Staff Cuts: As you are aware SNA staffing for the coming year will be cut by 30%, with the loss of 3 SNA postsalso 2 full time posts have been reduced to part time hours This will have a devastating impact on our capacity to provide appropriately and safely for the care needs of all our pupils with associated care needs, and the consequent impact on the whole school population. We have subsequently lodged a whole school appeal and a number of parents have lodged individual appeals. This has been a most unexpected cut due to the level of applications to the Special Education Needs Officer based on the significant care needs of individual children in our school.
We are asking all parents to forward the letter available on the school website (under school news) to the Minister for Education and Skills to the email address below.

Sponsored Walk: Thank you to everyone who returned sponsored cards. Outstanding cards and money from our walk should be sent in bytomorrow.
Lucan Library are running a reading challenge called Summer Stars. This is a fun way for your child to practise & develop their reading skills over the summer.

Lost Property: Please check the box outside the office for lost property, jackets, jumpers, track suit tops, hat etc. as these items will be sent to the charity shop within the next few days.
School Reports: These were posted home last Friday. If you did not receive your child’s report please contact the office as soon as possible.
All book bills must be paid to class teacher by tomorrowFriday 21st June
Book Rental closes tomorrow we will not be accepting book rental after this date.
School Holidays: School closes on Friday 28th June for our summer break.
Junior & Senior Infants to be collected at 11.50am. 1st & 2nd classes at 12 noon.
School reopens on Thursday 29th August.
