Coicís na Gaeilge:

Dia dhaoibh! As usual we have a number of activities taking place in the school during (4th -16th, March). Two classes will visit from our neighbouring Gaelscoil. (Eiscir Riada) on Monday 11th March. During the next two weeks we will be focusing on promoting the use of spoken Irish, and on Irish music and culture, and we encourage you to use “cúpla focail” (a few Irish words) at home as well. We will have lots of prizes for children ‘caught’ speaking Irish during the week.

Irish Dancing: Currently all our classes are receiving lessons in Irish dancing from Rita Doyle.

This finishes this week in the run up to Coicís na Gaeilge.

This year we are asking every child to bring in €3 to support one of our pupils (Holly Finlay: 2nd class: Ms. Kerrigan) Holly is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, and her current and future care needs have necessitated her parents Mattie and Alison, and her sisters Grace and Cara to move to a new home that will allow her to live her life independently.

We ask all parents to support Holly through our Colours Day.
