Scoil Áine Naofa: Registration for 3rd Class: Please enrol via their websitewww.scoilaine.comunder enrolments. This went live on Monday 28th January and continues until tomorrow Friday 8th February. For any additional queries please contact the principal, Mr. Conor O’Reilly, through the school office - Rachel (016281972).
First Confession /First Communion: First Confession takes place next Wednesday 13th February in St. Patricks Church Esker at 7pm.
Please ensure you and your child are seated by 6.50.pm (in their school uniform).
Quiz Night: Our 1st Annual St. Thomas’JNS & Scoil Áine Naofa takes place in the Lord Lucan on Friday 1st March at 8pm sharp. €40 per table of 4/raffle/spot prizes and live music. All proceeds will be divided between both schools. If you are a member of the local business community and would like to donate a voucher/gift towards the annual raffle please do so through the school office.
Parent /Teacher Meetings: These have taken place yesterday and today in our school with the vast majority of parents attending. If you were unable to attend please contact your child’s teacher to see if a mutually convenient new time can be found.
Reminder: Our grass areas are still out of bounds in the morning until the weather improves.
St.Thomas’ P.A.: Well done to our Parents’ Association for hosting a very well attended talk
(full hall ) by Deirdre Donnelly last night on Childhood Anxiety. This is Schools Mental Health Week and the talk complements the work we do through the SPHE curriculum, supporting your child in the area of mental wellbeing. More talks are planned going forward so watch the school newsletter and parents Facebook page.
School Closure: School will be closed on Friday 15th February for staff training in the Primary Language Curriculum. Our SNAs will be receiving training in First Aid and Defib on the same day.
Mid Term break: Monday 18th to Friday 22nd inclusive.
