School Photographer: Junior Infants will have their school photographs taken next Tuesday 25th September. Parents if you wish for an older sibling to be included in a photo please inform the class teacher. If the older sibling is in Scoil Aine please inform the Principal there. Any new children
(Sen. Infants, First Class and Second Class) to the school can also have their photograph taken on this day. Please inform your child’s teacher accordingly.

St. Thomas’ J.N.S. Parents Association A.G.M took place last night Wednesday 19th September.
Our new Chairperson is Nicola Giles, and a full list of our officers will appear next week.
The first meeting of our new Parents Committee will take place shortly. Date in next week’s newsletter, and all parents are welcome to join and get involved.!
Our Parents Association contribute actively to school life and also assist with providing much needed resources for the school. Last year alone our PA helped us purchase €11,696 worth of school equipment, including Gymnastic Mats for both halls, Computers (4 ), Outdoor Picnic tables and benches, and Maths equipment for all classes. This is very welcome and much appreciated by the School Board and staff.
Pupil Personal Accident Insurance: Forms for this scheme went home on Friday 14th September.
If you wish to avail of this scheme please return the form and money to class teacher before Friday28th September. I would encourage every parent to avail of our Pupil Personal Accident Insurance Scheme (Allianz)
Can you give one Sunday Family Mass a month?
We are looking for volunteers. The Children’s Mass Activity is for children in the pre-Holy Communion age group and takes place in the Pastoral Centre at St. Patricks Church Esker, while the 10.30am Sunday Family Mass is being celebrated. The team requires some volunteers to maintain the program. We only ask volunteers to help at one mass a month. If you or any other parishioners would be interested in helping, please let us know! You can send an email to stpatrickschurchlucan@gmail.com with your name or alternatively give your name to one of our volunteers at the 10.30am Family Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, Esker.
School Uniforms: Our School Uniform suppliers Bernard Owens in Leixlip have informed us they will be closed for a re-vamp from the 8th to the 25th of October.
Griffeeen Park Visits : Our first classes will be visiting Griffeen Park to meet the Park Ranger and learn about the flora and fauna of the park as part of National Tree week (1st – 5th October ).
