Lucan Lions Club: A big thank you to the Lucan Lions club and to St. Vincent De Paul, who supported a significant number of families in our area over the Christmas period, in particular those in temporary accommodation.

Operation Transformation: One of our parents, David Cryan (son Dylan in Junior Infants -R.5: Ms.Stephen’s) has been selected as a team leader on this programme. To support David and to help all of us become more active we are planning a number of activities over the coming weeks so please watch the school website and newsletter for updates.

Greenschools: Make 2018 a Green Year in St. Thomas. Please remember our walk to school WOW days: Walkonce a Week or Walk on Wednesdays. Green Lunches - using sustainable materials that won’t go into landfill. No tinfoil, no clingfilm use kitchen roll. Check our Website for updates!

Outstanding Fees: As term two has started I would be obliged if any outstandingmonies be paid as soon as possible as materials have already been purchased by the school.

If you have difficulty with this please contact the principal directly.

H.S.E. has informed us that the vaccinations (4 in 1 and MMR) for Junior Infants will take place on Monday 5th & Tuesday 6th February.

Parent / Teacher Meetings: These will take place after school on Wednesday 7th andThursday 8thFebruary. Junior and Senior Infants go home at normal time,

1st & 2nd classes to be collected at 2.20pm on both of those two days.

Class teachers will send home notification of individual meeting times closer to the actual date.

School Newsletter : In an effort to reduce paper waste and help the environment, we are hoping to make this available on our website only in the near future. We are also hoping to provide a school app to parents so that school information can be sent directly to phone/tablet etc and will be instantly accessible through the St. Thomas’ School App. Please complete and return the attached slip to your child’s teacher and let us know what your preference is.
