Ms. Brazil's Classwork for school closure:

Dear Parents & Guardians,

With schools being closed unexpectedly for the next number of weeks we have put together a few suggestions of schoolwork that you might like your child to do.

English:

Spellbound: Week 24 (Revision pages 50 & 51), Week 26 (pages 54 & 55) and Week 27 (pages 56 & 57).

Narrative Writing (Story Writing) practice.

Plenty of reading for pleasure! We have recently begun our class novel The Twits by Roald Dahl which the children are welcome to complete,

Maths:

Work it out: Week 22 (pages 46 & 47) and Week 23 (pages 48 & 49)

Oral Maths: Sheet with ideas enclosed.

Busy at Maths: A quick look back revision pages; 48, 66, 86 and 103.

Irish:

Draw a picture of An tEarrach (Spring), label it with spring vocabulary and write a few sentences.

Draw a person or people wearing clothes (Eadaí) and label the clothing.

Write An Nuacht.

Ideas for Project Work:

Look up a legend from another country or Ireland and write it in their own words along with pictures.

An inventor for example Alexander Graham Bell, The Wright brothers, Steve Jobs

Tom Crean and the Antarctica.

A topic chosen by your child.

There are also some educational websites available on our school website which you may like to use.

The above are just suggestions so please don’t feel under pressure to have all this work completed.

Please don’t complete any pages which are not outlined above as these will be covered on return.

Thank you

Ms. Brazil
