Dublinia: There was great excitement yesterday morning as our 2nd class pupils headed off to Dublinia in Dublin city Museum Dublin - Viking Museum | Dublinia Viking Museum. Our pupils learned all about the Danes, long ships, horned helmets and the Viking lifestyle in preparation for this trip. As always, the children were a credit to their school, their teachers and their parents and all behaved excellently. Being on the bus with all of their classmates was a highlight of course. Thank you to all the parents who gave up their time to come on the trip to help ensure it was a safe and enjoyable experience for all. A very special thanks to St. Thomas' Parents' Association who subsidised this trip to help lower costs for parents/guardians. I think you can tell from the pictures below that the children had a fabulous day.

;

Parents' Association Subscriptions: On behalf of the PA we would like to thank all the parents and guardians who have made a voluntary family donation of €10 via the Eolas App, Databiz website Site | DataBiz Solutions or in cash. Your contribution goes towards funding many resources and experiences for our pupils. Examples include; garden benches, giant lego, the sensory room, subsidising trips (such as above), Fun Runs, books, Santa visits etc. If you would like to donate, you can still do so. Every little helps, so we thank you sincerely.

Troubleshooting Eolas App: Databiz have advised us that they are in the final stages of working through the payment errors that some parents may have experienced recently via the Eolas app. It is an app developer issue. Apologies for any frustration this may have caused. Payments can still be made via the databiz website directly Site | DataBiz Solutions. If you have still not managed to download the app, we ask you to please do so at your nearest convenience as this is a vital method of communication going forward.

Explaining absences: If you child has been absent for any reason, please use the Eolas app to explain the reason for their absence. Absences can then be tracked and logged accurately on our database.
